Welcome to Fulora ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the Fulora mobile application (the "App").

1.1 Account Information
When you sign up for Fulora using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we collect:

- Email address
- Profile photo (if provided by your sign-in provider)
- Unique user identifier from the authentication provider
1.2 Reading Data
To provide you with reading tracking and progress features, we collect:
- PDF documents you upload (including file names, sizes, and page counts)
- Reading sessions (start time, end time, pages read, duration)
- Focus session data (timer duration, completion status)
- Last page read for each document
- Reading statistics (daily/weekly/monthly minutes and pages read, reading streaks)
- Bookmarks and their associated titles and colors
- Drawing annotations and notes you create with Apple Pencil or touch

To help you organize your reading materials, we collect:
- Collections you create (names, icons, colors)
- Document organization preferences

- Your focus area (building habits, staying focused, organizing materials)

3. How We Store Your Information
3.1 Local Storage
Your data is primarily stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- PDF files and thumbnails
- Reading sessions and statistics
- Collections and organizational data
- Bookmarks and annotations
- User preferences
3.2 Cloud Storage
To enable multi-device synchronization, we store your data in the cloud using Firebase services:
- Firebase Authentication: Manages your account authentication
- Firebase Firestore: Stores metadata about your PDFs, reading sessions, collections, and preferences
- Firebase Storage: Stores your PDF files and thumbnails
All cloud data is associated with your unique user ID and is accessible only to you.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to help us operate the App:
- Google Firebase: For authentication, cloud storage, and data synchronization
- Google Sign-In & Apple Sign-In: For authentication services
These providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect your information.
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests from public authorities.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures:
- Secure authentication using industry-standard OAuth protocols (Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In)
- Data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Firebase security rules protect your cloud data from unauthorized access
- Local data is protected by iOS security features, including device encryption
- Re-authentication is required for sensitive operations like account deletion
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Update
You can access and update your profile information, preferences, and settings directly within the App.
6.2 Data Export
Your PDF files and data are accessible through the App. You can export your documents at any time.
6.3 Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the Settings page. When you delete your account:
- All your cloud data (PDFs, reading sessions, collections, preferences) will be permanently deleted from Firebase
- All local data will be removed from your device
- Your authentication account will be deleted
- This action is irreversible
6.4 Sign Out
You can sign out of the App at any time. When you sign out:
- Synchronization will stop
- Local data will be cleared from your device
- Your cloud data remains stored and will be accessible when you sign back in
7. Children's Privacy
Fulora is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. When you delete your account, we will delete your information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside of your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Sending you a notification if the changes are significant
Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
